George dearest,
After mailing your letter, Ben and Jen paid us a visit. We’ve been well and my mom called from the city to say that all is under control. The weather isn’t too nice and we’ve had intermittent rain all day. We went to the Monticello library and took out a book for Jim and “Inside Asia” for me.
We’ll be getting a phone here in a few days due to my being an army wife. It sure has its advantages huh! Hope you are fine and please don’t worry. You really are good looking on those snaps.
To-morrow is Thelmas anniversary so I’ll not forget to send a card – and also one to the folks before the 29th. I’m not forgetting the gift and flowers.
There’s so much static on the air to-night that it’s difficult to hear the programs clearly. Jim’s already asleep and I’ll be going to bed soon. Stay well and chin up.
All my love and devotion to you. Kisses from Jim.
