Title: Letters of Herbert and Dorothy White
Description: This collection contains an exchange of letters between Herbert White and his wife-to-be Dorothy. Herbert White was a marine who served in World War II and was now stationed at Camp Lejeune. The letters talk about day-to-day life at the military base and how excited Herbert is to see Dorothy again. There are also two extra letters, one from Herbert’s mother where she is just updating him on the family during the 1960s. The other one is from 1951 and features Dorothy writing to Herbert about her day. Other than that, one the letters are written over the course of 1948 with the last one in 1949. There is also a what looks like a miniature newspaper with some comics inside it.
